Macular degeneration is the leading cause of vision loss in patients over the age of 50 in the United States.

 

• 1 out of 14 patients over the age of 40 have some level of macular degeneration.

• 1 in 8 patients over the age of 60 is affected and as many as 1 out of 3 patients over the age of 75 have some level of macular degeneration.
